| Electricity, water and natural gas | There are four power substation of 220 thousand volts, two of 110 thousand volts and 22 of 35 thousand volts in Nanhui District. Among them, eight of 35 thousand volts are newly built.
With daily capability of 390 cubic meters, Nanhui Water Supply Company provides its service for 550 thousand people within the area of 500 square kilometers. The expansion of Huinan Water Plant was completed in 2005, followed by the first-phase project of water supply system of New Harbor City and the east-west water diversion project. In addition, the reconstruction of rural water supply network has been carried out in 36 villages and water meters in 11,184 urban households are changed.
The natural gas pipelines starts from the Donghai Pinghu Oil and Gas Field through Nanhui District. A natural gas processing plant supplies gas of 14,000 cubic meters for 7,134 households and 20 institutes per year.
